Vitamin B12: An Important Element for Pregnant Woman

Vitamin B12, which is also called cobalamin, plays an important role in the development of people’s brain and nervous system, in the synthesis of fatty acids and myelin and in metabolizing carbohydrates, proteins, and fats which can improve people’s mood, energy levels and stress levels. Besides, another important role of the vitamin B12 is to help develop the fetus brain and form the neural tube. So vitamin B12 in pregnancy is a hot issue that is discussed by a lot of experts and professionals.

For pregnant women, the recommended daily intake of vitamin B12 is 2.6 ug and it is mainly from milk, eggs, meat, fish, poultry, etc, which should be got easily through a healthy and well-rounded diet. However, deficiency of vitamin B12 becomes a common phenomenon in pregnant women, and the cause is unknown. So the test of vitamin B12 for pregnant women is very necessary. Then if vitamin B12 is not enough for the pregnant women, the doctors would tell them the disadvantages of deficiency of vitamin B12, which will not only cause the health problems of their own, but also increase the chance that their children may be born with a serious birth defect, including spina bifida. Then what should the pregnant women do?

The doctors will suggest that vitamin B12 should be supplemented with folic acid, which is very effective and helpful for the health of both the mother and the baby. Besides, the supplementation of vitamin B12 is also recommended to the women who hope to become pregnant to take steps to ensure their diet includes foods rich in vitamin B12, which will also reduce their risk of vitamin B12 deficiency and birth defects.

In summary, please pay more attention to your own health, especially when you’re expecting a baby or when you’re ready to have a baby.

Electron Spin and Proton Spin in the Hydrogen and Hydrogen-Like Atomic Systems

Read full paper at: http://www.scirp.org/journal/PaperInformation.aspx?PaperID=52202#.VIj7tMnQrzE Author(s) Stanisław Olszewski * Affiliation(s) Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland . ABSTRACT The mechanical angular momentum and magnetic moment of the electron and proton spin have been calculated semiclassically with the aid of the uncertainty principle for energy and time. The spin effects of both kinds of the elementary particles can be expressed in terms of similar formulae. The quantization of the spin motion has been done on the basis of the old quantum theory. It gives a quantum number n = 1/2 as the index of the spin state acceptable for both the electron and proton ...

Remarks on the Complexity of Signed k-Domination on Graphs

Read  full  paper  at: http://www.scirp.org/journal/PaperInformation.aspx?PaperID=53574#.VMnXsCzQrzE Author(s)    Chuan-Min Lee 1 , Cheng-Chien Lo 1 , Rui-Xin Ye 2 , Xun Xu 2 , Xiao-Han Shi 2 , Jia-Ying Li 2 Affiliation(s) 1 Department of Computer and Communication Engineering, Ming Chuan University, The First American University in Asia, Taoyuan, Taiwan, Chinese Taipei . 2 Department of Electronic Information Engineering, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, China . ABSTRACT This paper is motivated by the concept of the signed k-domination problem and dedicated to the complexity of the problem on graphs. For any fixed nonnegative integer k, we show that the signed k-domination problem is NP-complete for doubly chordal graphs. For strongly chordal graphs and distance-hereditary graphs, we show that the signed k-domination problem can be solved in polynomial time. We also show that the problem is linear-time solvable for trees, interval graphs, and chord...

A Review of Technical Requirements for High Penetration of Wind Power Systems
