Research on Material Irradiation in HANARO

Read full paper at: http://www.scirp.org/journal/PaperInformation.aspx?PaperID=49014#.VJeU2cCAM4 Author(s)   Man-Soon Cho * , Kee-Nam Choo , Seoung-Woo Yang , Sang-Jun Park Affiliation(s) Department of Research Reactor Utilization, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Daejeon, South Korea . ABSTRACT HANARO (High-Flux Advanced Neutron Application Reactor) is a 30MWth multi-purpose research reactor generating a very high neutron flux for scientific and technical applications. Since its initial criticality in Feb. 1995, it has worked as a national neutron source for neutron beam research, RI production and related research, material and fuel irradiation research, and neutron transmutation doping. The inst...

Neutron Irradiation of Electronic Materials at HANARO

ABSTRACT HANARO, a 30 MW open-pool type multipurpose research reactor, has been operated as a platform for nuclear researches in Korea, and irradiation facilities have been mainly utilized for various nuclear material irradiation tests requested by users. Although most irradiation tests have been related to national R&D relevant to nuclear power, demand for neutron irradiation of electro-magneti...

Prediction and Derivation of the Higgs Boson from the Neutron and Properties of Hydrogen Demonstrating Relationships with Planck’s Time, the Down Quark, and the Fine Structure Constant

Read full paper at: http://www.scirp.org/journal/PaperInformation.aspx?PaperID=51065#.VFMCZmfHRK0 Author(s) Donald William Chakeres * Affiliation(s) Department of Radiology, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA . ABSTRACT A high accuracy Higgs boson, H 0 , is an important physical constant. The Higgs boson is associated with the property of mass related to broken symmetry in the Standard Model. The H 0 mass cannot be derived by the Standard Model. The goal of this work is to derive and predict the mass of H 0 from the subatomic data of the frequency equivalents of the neutron, electron, Bohr radius, and the ionization energy of hydrogen. H 0 ’s close relationships to the fine structure constant, α , the down quark, and Planck time, t P are demonstrated. The methods of the harmonic neutron hypothesis introduced in 2009 were utilized. It assumes that the fundamental constants as frequency equivalents r...
