ABSTRACT Fermion mass is modeled as an analogue of Weyl curvature, which by hypothesis emerges when closed, spin-2 strings sweep out closed world tubes. Second order curvature classes result when closed world tubes circulate and themselves sweep out closed tubes etc. Gauge invariance distinguishes admissible curvature classes from the larger set that would constitute an infinite continuum of possibilities. Admissible curvature classes account for known quark masses and predict a new quark of mass 30 GeV/c 2 . Super-symmetric interactions among prescribed fermions and super-partners conserve electrical charge, I 3 , color and generation and are therefore regarded by hypothesis as preserving a minimal irreducible represe...

The Periodic Table of Elementary Particles Based on String Theory

Read full paper at: http://www.scirp.org/journal/PaperInformation.aspx?PaperID=49009#.VJeRhcCAM4 Author(s) Ding-Yu Chung Affiliation(s) Utica, Michigan, USA . ABSTRACT In this paper, all elementary particles (leptons, quarks, gauge bosons, and the Higgs boson) can be placed in the periodic table of elementary particles based on string theory with oscillating spacetime dimension number, instead of conventional string theory with fixed space-time dimension number. Dimension number oscillates between 11D and 10D and between 10D and 4D reversibly. The oscillation of space-time dimension number (D) is accompanied by mass dimension number (d) to represent mass. Space-time dimension number decreases with increasing ma...
