Synthesis and Investigation of Pseudo Binary System CaTiSiO5-YFeSnO5

ABSTRACT
The research is devoted to the multicomponent system CaTiSiO5-YFeSnO5. The synthesis of solid solutions Ca1-xYxTi1-xSnxSi1-xFexO5 (x = 0 - 1.0, Δx = 0.1) was conducted in low-temperature plasma of hydrogen-oxygen flame. It was found that ions Ca2+, Ti4+ and Si4+ in the molecule of titanit may be substituted with t ions Y3+, Fe3+ and Sn4+. In this case, the system produces two phases of variable composition with broad regions of homogeneity. There were defined the boundaries of formed phases, crystallographic and electrical parameters of the solid solutions. All solid solutions have a semiconductor conductivity type, whose value is linearly dependent on the temperature and com- position of the sample.

Does Immigration Promote the Investment of the Monopolistic Firm?

In the present paper, we examine the effect of increasing uncertainty of immigrants’ growth on the optimal timing of investment of a firm that has a monopolistic power over the labor market. It is revealed that when the uncertainty of immigrants’ growth is more than a threshold level, increasing uncertainty of immigrants’ growth accelerates the optimal timing of firms’ investment and enhances the economic growth, even if the uncertainty of immigrants’ growth is formulated by the geometric Brownian motion, which is in sharp contrast to the standard result that an increase in the uncertainty postpones the optimal timing.
