The Sino-US relations can be regarded as one of the
most important bilateral relations in the world, and the Taiwan issue is
the core of the relations. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze
the impacts of the Taiwan issue on the Sino-US relations. These impacts
are analyzed in the following four aspects: 1) the attitude of the US
to the Taiwan independence forces; 2) the adjustment of global strategic
objectives of the US; 3) the rise of China and the adjustment of the
US’s China strategy; 4) the factors of Taiwan issue influencing on
pattern of common interests of China and the US.
